What is Reiki?

Reiki is pure love and light that flows through the practitioner to the client for their highest good. This energy works on all levels; emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual, to promote healing.

What does Reiki do for me?

Originating in Japan, Reiki is a healing energy that helps ground your energy, promote healing, and release negative energies that may cause stress, anxiety, or general ill feelings. With Usui Holy Fire Reiki, experience an energetic flow to help you feel grounded and relaxed.

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. (Ki) can also be interchanged with (Chi) which is referred to on a regular basis. These Rei-ki characters have been found in literature dating back thousands of years.

What To Expect

During a Reiki session, the client lies down or sits comfortably, fully clothed. The Reiki practitioner guides their hands along the body in a series of positions, either touching lightly or hovering slightly above the body. Each hand position is held for several minutes to allow the transfer of energy and to aid the process of healing where it is needed.

Reiki sessions are typically known for inducing a state of relaxation, which can help to reduce stress and promote healing. Clients often report feeling warmth, tingling, or waves of energy, as well as a sense of peace and well-being.

The treatment is holistic, aiming to treat the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit, and creating many beneficial effects such as relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and enhanced well-being. Given that Reiki is a non-invasive treatment, it may be used as a complement to other medical or therapeutic techniques to help relieve side effects and promote recovery.

It is important to note that while many individuals report positive effects from Reiki, it should not be used as a substitute for conventional medical treatment. It is always recommended to consult with a healthcare provider for any medical conditions.

I enjoy incorporating sage, palo santo, essential oil sprays, and crystals into my sessions for clearing and strengthening energetic frequencies. If you have any allergies to these, please notify us when booking. I also come with tarot/oracle cards for a card pull at the end of the session while the reiki is still flowing. Please let me know if you would not like a card pulled at the end of your session.
